How billing works

  • One charge per plan term. The full plan price is charged when you book. The monthly figure just shows what it works out to.
  • It renews automatically at the same price at the end of each term, so your card never lapses.
  • You're reminded first. Before every renewal charge we send you a reminder, so you're never caught by surprise.
  • 30-day grace period. If a card is declined or you need extra time to pay, nothing is cancelled for 30 days on any plan. We alert you so you can fix it.
  • Cancel anytime before your renewal date and you won't be charged again.
  • No hidden fees. The plan price covers your evaluation and all prescriptions. Savings are compared with buying 6-month plans.
  • On your statement the charge shows as "FL MMD".

Every plan includes

  • Your in-person evaluation with a Florida-licensed doctor
  • Your Florida medical marijuana card certification
  • All prescriptions for your whole plan term
  • Automatic renewals every 6 months, before your prescription runs out
  • A reminder before every renewal charge
  • A 30-day grace period if a payment fails
  • Patient support by call or text with a real person
  • Florida Registry guides, or we handle it for you
  • Dispensary deal alerts
  • Online booking and rescheduling
  • A full refund if you are not approved

Separate from our fee: the State of Florida charges a $75 fee for your Medical Marijuana Use Registry ID card, paid directly to the Florida Department of Health. Every patient pays it no matter which doctor, clinic or service they choose. FLMMD has no control over this fee and cannot waive it.

Why the cheapest doctor usually costs more

A bargain clinic saves you a few dollars on day one. Then the real price shows up: fees that weren't mentioned, hours on hold with an automated line, a packed waiting room, and a renewal you have to chase down yourself. Many clinics renew every 7 months, which means your card has already expired by the time they get to it, and you find out at the dispensary counter.

We priced FLMMD so none of that happens. You're seen at your appointment time. When you call or text, a person picks up, not a bot, not a hold queue, not a receptionist who takes a message. Your renewals run on their own every 6 months, before your prescription runs out, and you get a reminder before every charge. One clear price covers all of it.

  • No waiting room. Your visit starts when it's scheduled.
  • No hold music. Call or text and a real person answers.
  • No chasing renewals. They happen automatically every 6 months, never 7, so there's no gap in your prescription.
  • No surprise fees. Every price is on this page.

Is a Florida medical marijuana card worth the cost?

The plan price is the start of it. Here is what it pays for over a year.

Access to the products that fit you

Your card opens every licensed Florida dispensary: flower, vapes, tinctures, edibles, capsules and topicals. You and your doctor choose what fits your condition and routine, and you buy from regulated shops with tested products.

Savings on other treatment

For many patients, medical cannabis works alongside or in place of other medications. Less spending on prescriptions, and on medications taken to manage side effects, adds up over a year.

Legal protection

A Florida medical marijuana card means you buy, carry and use your medicine within state law. That peace of mind is part of what the plan pays for.

A doctor who keeps up with you

Your doctor reviews your progress at every renewal and adjusts your recommendation when something changes, so your treatment keeps working.

Help that does not run out

Questions about the registry, dosing routes or dispensaries are answered by a real person by call or text, for as long as you are a patient. We also send dispensary deal alerts so you know when the best offers are on.

Lower cost per month the longer you go

Longer plans bring the cost of your Florida medical marijuana card down from about $33 to about $20 a month, with one charge per term and nothing to remember in between.
